Cirrhus: Reopening tape
While we wait for the long awaited Cirrhus LP to move through the last stages of production, here is a new release that presents some familiar songs in a new form. In a sense this could be considered the tape version of the EP, but the recordings contained here (though from the same session) have a wholly different sound than the recordings that were on the 7” EP and the split 7” with Eunuch. Captured by a single mic, the sound here is more concise, even subdued compared to the violent turbulence of the vinyl releases, showing a colder and more distant perspective that is quite fitting for the band. As a bonus, two additional tracks from the session are included on the b-side: a re-recorded demo song and an early version of a track from the upcoming LP. The cover for the tape shows the full original drawing from which the 7” EP cover was extracted.

Oh! Lord of mine
Touch me with your magic hoof
Hail Lucifer the prince
Hail Satan king of kings
In the name of forests
In the name of stars
In the name of all the stars
In the name of storms
We praised the magical knowledge
